How long have you been in business?
Cynthia's School of Dance has been in business for 28 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Building Confidence in our students through teaching dance lessons.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As the owner I began dancing at a very young age and wanted to share my love of dance with others. As an educator I wanted a dance studio with a positive learning environment to help young children develop into confident young adults. Opening my own studio was a good fit for both objectives to be achieved. We have helped thousands of children develop confidence and success in and out of the classroom.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are Pittsburgh's most experienced dance educators helping children achieve success in and out of the classroom! We have classes for children ages 18 -24 months (interactive adult class) and then beginning at 2 years of age we offer tiny tot classes, tap, ballet & jazz classes. We also offer line dancing and adult classes.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one central location on McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237

What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
One of the best compliments we receive is when we are teaching lessons to second and third generations of families. The other best compliment is when we are hearing the wonderful careers our past students are leading as distinguished educators, engineers, lawyers, doctors and entertainers. We are very proud of all of our past students and feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to be part of their success.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
One of my favorite quotes is - Give to the world the best you have and the best will always come back to you.
